As a Sushi Chef , you will be responsible for preparing a wide range of sushi & sashimi to the highest standards, showcasing your expertise in both traditional and modern techniques. Youll work in a fast-paced, sushi section, ensuring that every piece is crafted with precision, creativity and attention to detail. The role requires a deep understanding of sushi preparation, knife skills and the ability to maintain high quality standards even during peak hours in an open plan sushi bar.

Guaranteed 20 hours minimum contract.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other sushi dishes according to traditional recipes and standards.
Ensure the highest standards of quality, flavour, and presentation in every sushi dish.
Manage inventory of sushi ingredients and supplies, and coordinate ordering as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sushi station, including sushi knives and other equipment.
Uphold sushi-making techniques and standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or sushi bar.
Strong sushi-making skills with a focus on traditional techniques.
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of sushi ingredients, sourcing, and quality control.
Stay updated on sushi trends and techniques.
Be able to remain calm and professional in an open kitchen.
