Our client is recruiting for an Apprentice Cellular Network Field Engineer to join their team in Tamworth. The Level 4 Cellular Network Field Engineer apprenticeship programme will allow you to kick‑start your career in an industry that is constantly evolving, dynamic and transformational. The Position
- Level: Level 4 Cellular Network Field Engineer
- Duration: 36 months
- Location: Tamworth – national travel may be required.
- Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8am‑5pm; Weekend and out‑of‑hours work may be required depending on project needs
- Hourly Rate: ÂŁ10.50 per hour

Due to continued growth, they are seeking motivated, reliable individuals to join their team as Apprentice Cellular Network Field Engineers/Riggers. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long‑term career in telecoms with full training provided. As an Apprentice Cellular Network Field Engineer/Rigger, you’ll work as part of an experienced field team delivering projects across the UK. The role is hands‑on, varied, and ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and problem‑solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Working as part of a team on nationwide telecom projects
- Assisting with installation and rigging works on telecom sites
- Adapting to changing site conditions and last‑minute changes
- Identifying and helping solve on‑site challenges
- Maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and workmanship
What You’ll Learn
- Working safely at height and using fall‑arrest equipment
- Understanding of telecoms rigging and antenna systems
- Basic electrical principles, testing, and certification
- Health & Safety, RF awareness, and first aid at height
- Reading and following technical drawings
- Quality assurance and environmental awareness

Requirements

- Willingness to work away from home when required
- Previous hands‑on or site‑based experience is an advantage, but not essential
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Grade A*-C/ 4 or higher in GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)
