We are now preparing for take off and are pleased to announce an exciting vacancy for a Temporary Travel & Tourism Lecturer, 39 hours per week, to join our crew while one of our team enjoys maternity leave.

Your Onboard Duties Will Include:

  • Planning and delivering high quality lessons to a range of classes
  • Preparing engaging, contextualised learning experiences that bring destinations to life
  • Continuously assessing learner progress (formative and summative) and providing timely feedback
  • Undertaking Internal Verification duties where required
  • Supporting students individually through academic challenges
  • Participating in and helping run extracurricular trips, activities, and events
  • Taking part in departmental meetings, parent evenings and whole college training sessions

Who We’re Looking For:

Essential Qualifications & Training:

  • Level 2 English & Maths (or willingness to complete during probation)
  • Minimum Level 5 vocational qualification in a related subject
  • Assessor Award (A1)
  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes You’ll Bring On Board:

  • Strong oral, written and IT communication skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate and compliant records
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage your own schedule

  • Experience with curriculum development
  • Understanding of a student centred learning environment
