We are now preparing for take off and are pleased to announce an exciting vacancy for a Temporary Travel & Tourism Lecturer, 39 hours per week, to join our crew while one of our team enjoys maternity leave.
Your Onboard Duties Will Include:
- Planning and delivering high quality lessons to a range of classes
- Preparing engaging, contextualised learning experiences that bring destinations to life
- Continuously assessing learner progress (formative and summative) and providing timely feedback
- Undertaking Internal Verification duties where required
- Supporting students individually through academic challenges
- Participating in and helping run extracurricular trips, activities, and events
- Taking part in departmental meetings, parent evenings and whole college training sessions
Who We’re Looking For:
To join this flight crew, you will ideally have:
Essential Qualifications & Training- Level 2 English & Maths (or willingness to complete during probation)
- Minimum Level 5 vocational qualification in a related subject
- Assessor Award (A1)
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Evidence of ongoing CPD
- Strong oral, written and IT communication skills
- Ability to maintain accurate and compliant records
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage your own schedule
- Flexibility and adaptability within a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of strategies to improve retention and achievement
- Experience with curriculum development
- Understanding of a student centred learning environment
