The Site: CECAMM β Whippingham (Satellite Site of the Isle of Wight College).
The Isle of Wight College is expanding its engineering provision and is seeking an enthusiastic Engineering Lecturer to join CECAMM, our Centre of Excellence for Composites, Advanced Manufacturing and Marine, based at our satellite site in Whippingham.
About CECAMM: CECAMM works closely with employers and has strong relationships with international engineering and manufacturing companies. Our learners achieve high progression and achievement rates, reflecting the quality of our facilities, teaching, and industry links.
The Role: You will deliver engaging engineering sessions, using your industry knowledge to prepare learners for employment, apprenticeships, or higher education. Full mentoring and support will be provided to help you develop confidence and skills in teaching.
Who Weβre Looking For: We welcome applications from:
- Engineers with current industry experience
- Engineering professionals considering a career change and looking to give back in developing future engineers
- Experienced lecturers looking to join a growing department
You will have:
- A relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND or higher preferred)
- Practical industry experience and knowledge of modern engineering practices
- Good communication skills and a genuine interest in supporting learners
- Teaching experience or a teaching qualification is not required and can be gained while in post with full College support.
