Are you an experienced childcare or Early Years professional looking for a new challenge on the Isle of Wight?

Isle of Wight College is looking for a Childcare Lecturer to join our team and help prepare the next generation of childcare professionals.

This is an opportunity to take the knowledge, skills and experience you have gained in the sector and pass them on to those starting their own careers.

Working with learners on our Level 1 and Level 2 Childcare programmes, you will help them develop the knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours they need to progress into the Early Years and Childcare sector.

You don't need to have spent your career in education.

We are particularly interested in hearing from vocational professionals who know the sector and can bring authentic industry experience into the classroom.

You could be an experienced practitioner, room leader, manager or other childcare professional who is ready to use your experience in a different way.

You know the sector.

You know what good practice looks like.

Now you can help shape the people who will work in it.

As a lecturer, you will have the opportunity to

  • Share your professional knowledge and experience with future childcare practitioners.
  • Help young people understand what it is really like to work in the Early Years and Childcare sector.

  • Level 2 qualification (GCSE grade A – C or equivalent) in English and Maths or willing to complete as part of probation
  • Degree/HND or equivalent vocational/professional qualification
