Location: Isle of Wight College - Cecamm site

Salary: £29,609 – £35,276

Hours: 39 per week

Holiday: 40 days per annum, plus bank holidays, and given days at Christmas, equating to a minimum of 51 days

The Role: The Isle of Wight College is looking for an experienced marine or boatbuilding professional to teach, coach and support apprentices through their training and End Point Assessments. You’ll deliver engaging sessions, visit apprentices in the workplace, track progress and help them develop the skills needed for successful careers in the marine engineering sector.

What you’ll bring: Successful candidates will have strong technical knowledge of marine and boatbuilding engineering, including shipbuilding techniques and marine systems such as electrical, plumbing and propulsion. You must hold Level 2 English and Maths, a relevant Level 2 occupational qualification (or be willing to work towards it), solid IT skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance is essential.

Desirable experience: Working with apprentices or in vocational training, holding a Level 3 qualification, and familiarity with apprenticeship standards and EPA processes.
