We are seeking a reliable, organised, and proactive Accounts Assistant to support our team and deliver high-quality bookkeeping and accounts support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Bank reconciliations
- Supplier statement reviews and chasing outstanding balances
- VAT return preparation
- Client communication via email and occasional telephone contact
- General accounts administration and team support
Key Skills & Qualities
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Flexible and able to manage priorities
- Proactive and able to work on your own initiative
- Reliable and professional
Systems & Software
- All systems are cloud-based across major accounting platforms
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with cloud accounting software desirable (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks), but not essential
Qualifications & Experience
- AAT qualified (or equivalent by experience) – ESSENTIAL
- Previous bookkeeping/accounts experience – ESSENTIAL
- Salary negotiable, subject to experience

- Right to work in the United Kingdom (required)
- Must be able to reliably commute to Southampton
Hours
Hours and days to be discussed, but will be in the region of 24 per week across 4 days with a minimum of 3 days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) office based.
