This is a fantastic opportunity for a 3 year fixed term Research Associate position (with a possible 2 year extension) at the Institute of Neuroscience, Newcastle University (UK) in the Brain and Movement Research Team.

This exciting opportunity is for an early career scientist who is interested in human movement, wearable technology and digital outcomes. You will be expected to work in an interdisciplinary group who has an established international reputation in gait analysis and wearable technology analytics.

You will work as part of a high profile international EU-H2020-JTI-IMI2 upcoming collaborative study (MOBILISE-D).

MOBILISE-D consists of 35 partners from Academia and industry (EPFIA (European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries)), from 11 countries with long, successful collaboration, combining the requisite expertise to address the technical and clinical challenges.

You will be expected to manage and analyse gait data collected with wearable technology, novel and traditional gait analysis tools (e.g. instrumented mattress, etc.).
 
Information, eligibility criteria and requirements:

The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Biomedical Science, Movement Science or related field, experience working with wearable sensor data and digital outcomes; proficient and independent signal processing, mathematical, statistical and computational skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
