You’ll receive targeted training that prepares you for real classroom environments, including behaviour support, safeguarding, SEND awareness, and speech, language and communication skills to help children thrive.
What You Will Gain
- Practical preparation for primary, secondary and SEND settings
- A recognised NCFE CACHE qualification, or unit, depending on chosen pathway: Level 3 Award in Supporting Children and Young People’s Speech, Language and Communication or Level 3 Understand How to Support Learning of Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

This opportunity is delivered as part of the government’s Skills Bootcamps, offering flexible training for adults aged 19+ living in Kent or Medway who want a new career direction. No previous experience is required, just motivation and a passion for supporting children.
You’ll develop the confidence to assist teachers, support diverse learning needs and create a positive, inclusive classroom. On completion, you’ll receive dedicated support into Teaching Assistant, Learning Support or SEND role.
