Head of Professional Conduct
Contract : Permanent
Hours : Part Time 21 hours per week (3-5 days a week)
Salary : £60,920 starting salary p/a FTE, plus excellent benefits package
Location : London, Farringdon, Hybrid working available
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Professional Conduct who will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Institution’s Code of Conduct, ensuring that members abide by the Code and developing a culture of ethical behaviour throughout the organisation.
The Role:
This role will manage the Professional Conduct Department and will be the lead on matters relating to the Institution’s professional conduct activities. The role is responsible for ensuring that members adhere to the established ethical standards and professional guidelines and will manage our most complex conduct cases. The Professional Conduct Manager will report into this role who in turn will manage a Professional Conduct Coordinator.
To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:
- Knowledge of legislation and regulations on governance (Charter status, Bye Laws, Regulations) relating to charities/not for profit organisations.
- Knowledge and understanding of codes of conduct and disciplinary procedures in a professional context.
- Experience managing and leading a direct report.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience working in a membership organisation or/and understanding of the Engineering or Built Environment professions would be advantageous.

We are based on the edge of the city of London, our office is bright, modern and open plan. We are an inclusive and friendly workforce. We are presently operating a working model of office based and remote working and envisage operating a longer-term hybrid working model.
