Are you committed to safeguarding an Institution's integrity and public safety through upholding professional conduct standards? If so, this is the role for you!

The Professional Conduct Manager will lead the effective management of the complaints process and enquiries relating to professional conduct, ensuring all matters are handled in accordance with the Institution's Code of Conduct, Disciplinary Rules and Regulations. They will line manage the Professional Conduct Coordinator, advising them on responses to all professional conduct enquiries, alongside supporting their professional development within the team.

The role is responsible for reviewing all complaint submissions, assessing whether complaints fall within the jurisdiction of the Professional Conduct Committee (PCC) and whether they meet the requirements set out in the Institution's Complaints Procedure. The post holder will draft and communicate decisions arising from the PCC. The Professional Conduct Manager acts as Secretary to the Professional Conduct Committee which involves the preparation of case papers alongside agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring all action points are completed.

To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:

  • Experience managing professional conduct or disciplinary processes
  • Strong organisational and case management skills
  • Ability to provide clear guidance and communicate sensitively with diverse stakeholders

Experience working with regulatory or governance frameworks within an institutional body would be advantageous.

We are based on the edge of the city, our office is bright, modern and open plan. We are an inclusive and friendly workforce. We are presently operating a working model of office based and remote working and envisage operating a longer-term hybrid working model.
