We are recruiting an experienced Corporate Legal Secretary to join an award-winning legal firm based in the West End. This role offers the opportunity to support a busy Corporate team, working closely with several fee earners and playing a key part in ensuring efficient, high-quality legal administration. If you enjoy responsibility, have at least 2 years of legal secretarial experience, exposure to a Corporate team, and thrive in a professional, detail-driven environment, this could be an excellent next step for you.
Responsibilities
- Support a team of fee earners across the Corporate team
- Manage dictation, preparing and formatting documents in relation to transactions (M&A), and other advisory work such as shareholders agreements, reorganisations, and equity incentive plans
- Handle client onboarding, conducting AML and KYC checks
- Process payments, draft bills, and manage confidential information with professionalism
- Liaise with clients and third parties, conduct regulatory checks, and maintain accurate records
- Occasional support with reception on a rotational basis
Qualifications
- You will have at least 2 years' legal secretarial experience, ideally within a corporate or commercial team handling transactions (M&A) and other advisory work such as shareholders agreements, reorganisations, and equity incentive plans
- Strong document production skills, excellent written English, and proficiency in legal software such as Word, iManage, BigHand or Workshare Compare
- You will be highly organised, solutions-focused, and confident managing multiple deadlines while providing a polished, professional service
