About the Role
A private company is seeking an experienced, highly organised Legal Secretary/PA to support its VP directly. This is a varied, fast-paced role supporting a busy, spontaneous principal on exciting, ever-changing projects; no two days look the same. Working patterns vary day to day: some days based in a Central London office, others working from home, with travel required at times. This role sits at the centre of the VP's day-to-day operations. You'll be trusted to manage competing priorities, keep information flowing smoothly, and bring order and structure to a naturally fast-moving working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of a demanding, fast-moving diary, resolving clashes and reprioritising at short notice, including evenings and weekends when required
- Source, gather, and prepare information ahead of meetings, calls, and decisions, so the VP always has what's needed to hand
- Read, check, and review contracts, letters, and business correspondence with a close eye for detail and accuracy
- Draft and proofread documents, letters, and internal paperwork on the VP's behalf
- Organise and maintain a clear structure across documents, files, and ongoing projects, so nothing gets lost in the pace
- Liaise closely and consistently with the VP's existing personal PA to keep schedules, tasks, and information streamlined
- Support with HR-related administration and documentation (staff contracts, policies, correspondence)
- Travel with the VP when required
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a PA role, ideally within a fast-paced environment
- Qualified legal secretary or paralegal background essential, ideally with exposure to both commercial and employment law
- Previous experience supporting a high-net-worth principal, with excellent discretion and etiquette
- Highly organised, with a natural ability to bring structure to a varied, unpredictable workload
- London-based, willing to travel when required
- Highly flexible with working days and hours, comfortable adapting to shifting priorities at short notice
- No industry background required, candidates from any sector welcome
