Position Overview
You will be joining a friendly and highly skilled team of secretaries, supporting specialist Private Client solicitors across a broad caseload including Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Administration. This is a key role requiring professionalism, initiative and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Client liaison — in person and by telephone
- Preparing, sewing and binding Wills and Deeds
- File opening and compliance support
- Assisting with electronic billing and administration
- Digital dictation, audio/copy typing and document production
- Diary and document management
- Maintaining organised electronic and physical files
- Supporting fee‑earners with legal and administrative tasks
- Assisting with creation of electronic bibles
- Delivering high‑quality work under pressure and to deadlines
Requirements
- Previous Private Client experience is essential
- Excellent telephone manner and client‑facing skills
- Fast and accurate typing skills — 65+ WPM
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Organised, proactive and able to manage your own workload
- Excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading and attention to detail
- Ability to work discreetly with confidential information
- Experience with case management systems beneficial (e.g. iManage, SOS Connect, Diktamen, Nuance/Kofax, Teams)
- Reliable, a strong team player and confident supporting multiple fee earners
