About the role:

Are you passionate about education and the development of primary Ta’lim? The Institute of Ismaili Studies is looking for a Teacher Educator for Primary Ta’lim. Under the direction of the Director and Head of Primary Education, you’ll play a crucial role in creating sustainable, contextually responsive, and community-sensitive teacher education programs. You will mobilize and support teacher educators, integrating best practices and fostering continuous development across the ITREBs. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on primary education within the Ismaili community while working in a diverse and respectful environment.

We’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or BEd degree with significant primary teaching experience.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Teacher Education or School Leadership, with a minimum of 3 years' experience mentoring primary teachers.
  • Exceptional command of the English language (both verbal and written).
  • Proven experience in leading teams of teachers and supporting their professional development.
  • Experience working with Ismaili Jamats to support primary R.E. curriculum globally.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Commitment to fostering ethical leadership and a deep understanding of working within a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
