Are you a strategic communicator with a passion for building meaningful relationships? The Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS) is seeking a Donor Relations Manager to help implement our Board-approved donor relations strategy. Working within the Office of Communications & Development, you will lead efforts to engage our global donor community through impactful communications, coordinated activities, and strong record-keeping—ensuring alignment with the IIS’ mission and strategic goals.

What you will do:

  • Lead donor communications such as newsletters, letters from the Director, and advance sharing of IIS publications.
  • Plan and manage donor events, including webinars, virtual tours, and in-person gatherings.
  • Maintain the donor database (SalesForce®) with accurate records and engagement history.
  • Work with Conveners and National Councils to support coordinated donor engagement efforts.
  • Track strategy progress and prepare reports, offering insights and recommendations to enhance donor relations.

What you bring:

  • A degree in communications, marketing, or a related field (postgrad a plus).
  • Solid experience in donor relations and confidence with CRM tools like Salesforce®.
  • Clear communicator, strong multitasker, and relationship builder.
  • Familiarity with the structures of the global Ismaili community; Islamic studies knowledge would be a bonus.
  • Strategic thinker with an eye for detail and a commitment to inclusion.
