About You
Under the guidance of Professor Axel Behrens, we are seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Training Fellow. You should be a highly motivated and creative molecular biologist with a strong background in breast cancer biology. The project will use advanced genetic cancer mouse models and patient‑derived human cancer organoids to elucidate mechanisms of breast cancer stem cell biology and metastasis formation, with the ultimate aim to develop novel therapeutics.
Key Qualifications
- Considerable experience in cancer biology.
- Experience working with human patient‑derived cancer organoids.
- Experience working with in vivo breast cancer models.
- Experience in CRISPR modification of human patient‑derived cancer organoids.
Candidates nearing completion of their PhD may apply, but confirmation of award of PhD is required within 6 months of employment.
Employment Limits
Postdoctoral Training Fellows can only be employed for up to 7 years at the ICR. Total postdoctoral experience, including previous employment at this level elsewhere, must not exceed 7 years.
