We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Senior Legal Credit Controller to join our busy and professional law firm. This is a key role within our finance team, responsible for ensuring full compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing office account transactions, including receipts, payments, and transfers
  • Processing invoices, bills, and disbursements
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations
  • Handling CHAPS and BACS payments
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit requirements
  • Assisting with weekly, month-end and year-end accounting procedures
  • Liaising with fee earners and support staff regarding financial queries; chasing aged debtors and ensuring all payments are made in a timely manner

About You

  • Previous experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar finance role within a law firm
  • Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient in legal accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
