Working within the Tech Delivery team, this Scrum Master role exists to create the conditions for teams to deliver value at pace through strong collaboration and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: such as stand-ups, planning, retrospectives, and reviews to maintain momentum and foster continuous improvement.
  • Team Planning & Prioritisation: Support the team in estimating, forecasting, tracking, and delivering priorities, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Workflow: Oversee the daily flow of work items, ensuring progression from backlog to delivery, using flow metrics where appropriate to enhance predictability and efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Managers/owners and technical stakeholders to understand priorities and dependencies.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identifying, managing, and mitigating risks to timelines, quality, and scope.
  • Team Empowerment & Coaching: Fostering a productive, high-performing team culture by removing obstacles (blockers) that hinder progress, coaching team members in delivery practices, and improving workflows.
  • Dependency Management: Identify, visualise, and actively manage cross-team dependencies to minimise delivery friction and sequencing risks.
  • Delivery Predictability & Metrics: Use appropriate delivery metrics to provide transparency, improve forecasting, and support data-informed decisions.
  • Release & Milestone Coordination: Support release planning and milestone alignment, ensuring work is sequenced realistically and communicated clearly.
  • Capacity & Resource Planning: Partner with Product and Engineering to balance demand, capacity, and priorities to enable sustainable delivery.
  • Governance & Reporting: Provide clear, concise updates on progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders, adapting communication style to the audience.
  • Escalation & Issue Resolution: Escalate impediments and risks appropriately while promoting ownership and problem-solving at the right level.
  • Delivery Standards & Consistency: Support consistent application of delivery principles, frameworks, and best practices across squads.
  • Commercial & Value Awareness: Maintain awareness of cost, effort, and value considerations to support balanced delivery decisions.
  • Ways of Working Optimisation: Help teams refine and evolve their ways of working, ensuring processes remain pragmatic, lightweight, and value-driven.

  • Coaching and mentoring capability, supporting teams in improving ways of working, delivery practices, and collaboration.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities, ambiguity, and changing demands.
  • Data informed decision making, using delivery metrics and insights to guide conversations and improvements.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills, helping teams and stakeholders navigate competing priorities or perspectives.
