Production Manager in Solihull

We’re looking for a talented Production Manager to join our team and play a key role in building a world‑class production ecosystem at Gymshark. Working closely with the Head of Production, you’ll help shape how we partner with our suppliers, streamline our processes, and deliver maximum value as we continue to scale globally. In this role, you’ll own the day‑to‑day management of Tier 1 suppliers, oversee production workflows, lead and develop a team, and ensure our product moves through the production cycle smoothly — from purchase order to handover with our Logistics team. What you’ll be doing:

• Managing the ongoing performance and relationships of our Tier 1 product suppliers
• Monitoring the production critical path and resolving challenges through close collaboration with internal and external partners
• Validating, creating, and issuing purchase order contracts to vendors
• Ensuring consistent processes and ways of working across the production team
• Overseeing daily tactical activities and delegating tasks effectively
• Building and leading a high‑performing team with clear OKRs, removing blockers to help them succeed
• Liaising with factories and suppliers to ensure production remains on schedule and meets handover deadlines
• Addressing escalations and identifying bottlenecks in manufacturing or service areas
• Working closely with Inbound Supply Chain to ensure cargo handovers meet agreed SLAs
• Conducting continuous reviews of production processes and driving improvements
• Conducting supplier visits as required
• Supporting the implementation of software and AI‑driven improvements for critical path tracking, performance reporting, and capacity management
• Cleansing and validating data to support accurate reporting and informed decision‑making
• Onboarding new vendors and ensuring the Production Manual remains up to date in the vendor portal
• Managing additional duties and projects as assigned by the Head of Production

What you’ll need:

• Strong leadership skills with an engaging approach to managing Production Executives
• A passion for developing people and building a committed, high‑performing team
• Proven experience managing high‑volume, fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) or manufacturing operations
• Experience leading and managing a team within a production environment
• Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving parts
• Experience with production metrics and performance reporting
• A proactive mindset and a commitment to personal growth and continuous development

Onsite Collaboration: Due to the hands‑on and highly collaborative nature of the work within our Product & Supply Chain team, we have a minimum expectation of THREE days per week onsite at our Gymshark HQ. This ensures we can work closely together to innovate, problem‑solve, and deliver world‑class products for our community.
