Designed to help us deliver actionable insights, which ensure we are putting our community at the centre of decision making. We are looking for a Senior Researcher who can lead end to end research that shapes the decisions Gymshark makes.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Own delivery of insight that shapes decisions across the business, using a range of research techniques to better understand our current and future customers.
- Translate consumer research into clear, actionable insights and grounded recommendations that directly inform decision making.
- Help shape and prioritise the research roadmap.
- Use a range of qualitative and quantitative techniques to develop surveys/IDIs/online community guides, analyse data, and produce rich insights that transform data into a clear, story-driven report or presentation.
- Continuously look to develop new research capabilities, including the use of new methods, techniques, tools, and systems.
- Work with external agencies to conduct research projects on wider audiences we are unable to reach through the customer panel or CRM database.
- You’ll be responsible for the smooth running and ensuring the output delivered meets requirements set.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Insight team to connect your insight to different data sources and business context.
- Embed research into core business processes, building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, working cross‑functionally to understand their priorities and identify business questions and challenges.
- Act as a customer champion across the business, utilising everything you know to support teams in building better outcomes for customers.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Previous experience in a research role, with a strong understanding of research methodologies.
- Ability to ask the right questions and identify the most effective research and analytical methods to solve business problems.
- Able to lead both quant and qual research to a high standard.
- Able to synthesize data and insights from a variety of data sources into one cohesive story – including secondary market data and primary research outputs.
- An ability to understand the big picture and where research can add value to strategic decision making.
- Demonstrated experience in providing insights and driving change across a large organisation.
- Ability to work as part of a high performing team, supporting the development of more junior team members, whilst also being happy to work independently.
- Superb presentation skills, able to confidently explain findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders in an engaging way.
- Findings should provide the ‘so what?’ for stakeholders and encourage them to act on findings.
- Good communication and people skills. Able to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Able to effectively manage multiple projects, proactively raising risks and blockers to management.

- Experience using a research community panel.
- Experience managing external partners and agencies.
- Experience analysing large data sets, including data manipulation.
- Experience using data analysis tools e.g. DisplayR, MarketSight etc.
