The INS Group is seeking an experienced and commercially aware Operations Manager to support the leadership and day-to-day management of operational delivery across the business. This role will sit between the Operations Director and operational delivery teams, helping to drive operational performance, service delivery, planning, compliance, reporting, and process improvement. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, professionally, and in line with client expectations. This is a hands‑on operational leadership role suited to an individual who thrives within fast-paced infrastructure, telecoms, engineering, or technical service environments.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Operations Director with the day-to-day management of operational delivery.
- Oversee planning, scheduling, and coordination of operational teams and resources.
- Manage operational workflows to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor operational KPIs, reporting metrics, and service performance.
- Identify operational risks, blockers, and inefficiencies and implement solutions.
- Support client relationship management and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Assist with operational forecasting, workload planning, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with company processes, health & safety requirements, and operational standards.
- Lead and support operational coordinators and administrative staff.
- Work closely with field engineers, validation teams, finance, and senior leadership.
- Assist with continuous improvement, systems development, and operational optimisation initiatives.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management activities where required.
- Produce operational reports, updates, and management information.
- Escalate significant operational or commercial issues appropriately.
- Previous experience in an Operations Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Project Operations, or similar operational leadership role.
- Strong organisational and leadership capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast‑paced operational environment.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Commercial awareness and operational understanding.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to lead teams positively and professionally.
- Experience managing operational performance and deadlines.
- Telecoms, infrastructure, engineering, utilities, or technical services experience.
- Experience managing field operations or engineering delivery teams.
- Experience with workflow, scheduling, CRM, ERP, or operational management systems.
- Experience within a scaling or rapidly growing business.
- Knowledge of compliance, access management, RAMS, or operational governance.
