Help grow a yoga-centred sustainability charity creating social and environmental impact. We’re seeking a volunteer fundraiser to help prepare grant applications, secure funding, and support programmes that promote wellbeing, community resilience, and sustainable living. Your support in this role will have a direct and tangible impact on The Inner Peace Foundation by helping us secure funding needed to sustain and grow programmes promoting wellbeing, sustainable living, community resilience, and positive social and environmental change.

By helping us prepare and submit strong grant applications, you will play a practical role in unlocking resources that can support current priorities and future development. Funding secured through your contribution could help expand outreach, develop new initiatives, increase access to wellbeing programmes, and strengthen our Harmony with Nature work. This role will help us make progress on funding opportunities we have already identified but need additional capacity to pursue effectively. Your support could increase the number and quality of applications we submit, strengthen our chances of success, and help turn important opportunities into real outcomes.

The impact of your contribution goes beyond individual funding bids. Successful fundraising can help build greater organisational sustainability, allowing us to plan with more confidence, grow our reach, and deepen our long-term social and environmental impact. Your input will also help strengthen our fundraising capacity by improving proposals, sharpening our support case, and contributing ideas that may benefit future funding applications. The skills and support you bring could have lasting value well beyond the immediate role. Ultimately, your contribution could help enable programmes that support healthier people, stronger communities, and more sustainable ways of living. By helping secure funding, you will be directly supporting meaningful change and helping our organisation turn vision into action.

What are we looking for?

  • Proactive and experienced volunteer with practical fundraising or grant-writing skills.
  • Experience in grant fundraising and bid writing, trusts and foundations applications, fundraising for charities, social enterprises or community projects.
  • Researching and identifying funding opportunities.
  • Preparing compelling funding proposals and cases for support.
  • Managing application processes and working to deadlines.

The most important skills for this role are strong grant-writing or fundraising experience, excellent written communication, good organisation and the ability to turn funding opportunities into high-quality applications. We are particularly interested in someone who can work practically and collaboratively to help progress an existing pipeline of funding opportunities, rather than someone focused only on high-level strategy. Experience in drafting successful bids, interpreting funder criteria and tailoring applications to meet funding priorities would be especially valuable.

What we are looking for in a candidate

  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Organised and able to manage deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong writing and research skills.
  • Collaborative and able to work closely with a small leadership team.
  • Creative in presenting impact and strengthening funding proposals.

Experience with charitable trusts, foundations, community grants or social impact funding would be a strong advantage, but we also welcome applicants with transferable fundraising or proposal-writing experience. This role may suit someone with a background in fundraising, development, bid writing, philanthropy, nonprofit management or related fields, including professionals looking to offer pro bono support or apply their skills in a meaningful voluntary role. An interest in wellbeing, sustainability, social impact or community development would be valuable, as would an appreciation for the mission and values of The Inner Peace Foundation. Above all, we are looking for someone who enjoys helping mission-led organisations secure funding and make things happen. If you are practical, thoughtful and motivated by using your skills to support meaningful change, we would love to hear from you.

What will you be doing?

We are seeking a proactive and experienced volunteer fundraiser to help The Inner Peace Foundation secure funding for programmes that promote wellbeing, sustainable living, community resilience, and positive social and environmental change. The Inner Peace Foundation is growing, and we have identified several funding opportunities and grant deadlines that we would like to support pursuing. We are looking for someone who can help turn these opportunities into strong applications and successful funding bids. This is a practical, hands-on fundraising role for someone who enjoys helping mission-led organisations secure resources and make things happen. While strategic input is welcome, the immediate priority is supporting the preparation and submission of funding applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Reviewing and prioritising a pipeline of identified grant and funding opportunities.
  • Supporting the preparation, drafting, and submission of funding applications and bids.
  • Helping tailor proposals to funder priorities and criteria.
  • Supporting development of compelling cases for support, project descriptions, and impact narratives.
  • Assisting with gathering information, budgets, and supporting material for applications.
  • Helping track deadlines and support the timely submission of bids.
  • Identifying additional relevant grant opportunities where appropriate.
  • Contributing ideas to strengthen future fundraising approaches.

We are open to applicants with experience in grant fundraising, trusts and foundations, bid writing, or practical fundraising delivery. Experience securing funding for charities, social enterprises, or community projects would be especially valuable. You would work collaboratively with the founder/leadership team, who can provide programme information, supporting materials, and an existing funding pipeline. We see this as a collaborative role where your expertise can make a direct and tangible difference. This is an exciting opportunity to support a growing organisation at a key stage of development, where your input could directly help unlock funding for community wellbeing programmes, environmental education, and future initiatives through our Harmony with Nature work. This role would suit someone who enjoys both the strategic and practical sides of fundraising, but particularly someone who likes turning opportunities into successful applications. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is proactive, organised, and motivated by helping create positive social and environmental impact.
