You will fit right in. Our apprenticeship offers a great foundation to the world of finance, with rotations between core domains including but not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Basic Accounting and Treasury. Successful candidates will join us for a 3 year apprenticeship in which they will complete AAT level 3 and 4 while working in parallel at our Head Office across 2 specific roles; both for a period of 18 months to ensure variety and rounded experience.
Over three years of AAT studies that run parallel to the apprenticeship you can expect to take on dedicated roles in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury as well as taking on deliverables contributing towards the accounting month end close and the balance sheet reconciliation processes. You will also support with master data and EPOS system management.
Responsibilities
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
- Daily Reconciliations of cash balances including card payments.
- Supplier Statement reconciliations.
- Customer Ledger reconciliations and follow up.
- Invoice Triage and approval follow ups.
- Weekly payment runs.
- Purchase order matching.
- Expense management including VAT Compliance.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Month end Accruals and prepayments.
- Master data management.
- EPOS updates.
- Data analysis and reporting.
- Any other task deemed reasonable to support the wider finance team.
This is a fixed term role for the duration of the apprenticeship. If there is an available role that is suitable for the candidate at the end of their apprenticeship, they would be able to apply for a permanent role in the company however, this is subject to what is available at the time.
Duration: 3 Years
Skills Required:
- Communication - able to confidently liaise with senior personnel and external customers/suppliers.
- Basic understanding of reconciliation processes.
- Excel and other office programmes such as Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
