We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team. This is a key role within our Financial Reporting team, responsible for the preparation and submission of both external and internal reporting and compliance requirements across the Group. The role will also involve finance business partnering, supporting the month-end close and reporting process, and acting as a key contact for our external auditors.

The successful candidate will have a positive and proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and develop within the role. They will be confident in building strong working relationships across the organisation, have a naturally inquisitive mindset, strong attention to detail, and previous experience within financial reporting, compliance, or audit-related disciplines would be advantageous. This is a broad, hands-on finance and accounting role with ownership of key reporting areas. It supports the study of the ACCA qualification.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Support and contribute to the development of quarterly internal controls process within the finance team and an ever audit-ready approach
  • End-to-end ownership of P&L lines, including the preparation of month-end accounts
  • Balance Sheet area ownership, preparation and review
  • UK VAT preparation and 1st level review
  • Capex reporting and tracking
  • Audit support
  • Support on UK Corporation tax, including providing required information and review of tax comps
  • Support on draft and submission of company statutory accounts
  • Financial management of staff accommodation
  • Ownership of Business rates & Council tax across the estate
  • Companies House administration
  • Any other reasonable requests
About You
  • You have AAT Level 4
  • You bring a strong compliance mindset
  • You work well to deadlines and manage priorities confidently
  • You have great attention to detail
  • You’re confident using advanced Excel
  • You communicate and articulate clearly with stakeholders in the business in a language they understand
  • Experience with Sage 200 is a bonus, not essential

This role is based working at our Head Office in Newcastle, with the option of some home working once the initial training period has been successfully completed.
