Cleaning and tidying guest rooms and public areas.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including bedrooms and bathrooms, ensuring high standards of hygiene. Bed making: strip dirty linens and make beds according to hotel standards.
  • Linen and towel replacement: change and replenish bed linens and towels as needed. Amenity restocking: restock and maintain toiletries, drinking glasses, notepads, and other guest amenities.
  • Waste removal: empty trash bins and dispose of waste correctly. Room preparation: prepare rooms between guest stays, a process known as \”turning over\” rooms.
  • Maintenance reporting: report any damages, broken appliances, light bulbs, or other maintenance issues to the appropriate department. Inventory management: organize and stock the housekeeping cart with cleaning supplies and amenities.
  • Guest service: respond to guest requests for extra items like towels or pillows in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Protocol compliance: adhere to all hotel policies, safety regulations, and health and sanitation standards. Guest privacy: respect guest privacy and \”do not disturb\” signs. Lost property: follow procedures for handling lost and found items.
  • General cleaning: clean and tidy hallways, lobbies, elevators, and other common areas. Floor care: vacuum carpets, sweep, and mop floors. Surface polishing: dust and polish furniture, light fixtures, and other surfaces.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills to interact with guests and staff, flexibility to work various shifts.
  • Attention to detail, time management skills.

Salary: Under 18 ÂŁ7.55, 18-20 ÂŁ10.00, 21 & over ÂŁ12.21 per hour. Contract type: Permanent. Weekly hours: 16. Location: Castledawson. Worktime: To be confirmed. Closing date: 07 Nov 2025.
