Since launching in 2018, we've challenged the industry by putting education, honesty and efficacy first. We listen to our community, create products backed by science and never overcomplicate what should be simple.

We Give A Care. About our customers, our community and the people who make The INKEY List what it is. We know our best work happens when people feel supported, trusted and able to be themselves.

About the role

As Social Media Executive – Community & Publishing, you'll be responsible for keeping The INKEY List's organic social channels active, responsive and connected to our community.

You’ll own day-to-day publishing and community management, making sure content goes live accurately and on time while building genuine conversations with our audience.

Working closely with the Social Media Manager and wider teams, you'll bring valuable customer feedback, emerging trends and community insights into the business, helping shape future content and brand decisions.

Every role at The INKEY List contributes to making skincare simpler, more accessible and more effective. This one is no different.

What you'll be doing

1. Publishing & Channel Management

  • Keep our social channels running smoothly, making sure the right content reaches our audience at the right time.
  • Own day-to-day scheduling and publishing across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and relevant emerging channels.
  • Maintain accurate content calendars, ensuring approved content is published on time.
  • Manage publishing details, including captions, tagging, links, product references and platform-specific requirements.
  • Support reactive publishing, responding quickly to relevant trends and opportunities.
  • Maintain high channel standards, including highlights, playlists, pinned content and profile updates.
  • Support campaign rollouts, working closely with the Social Media Manager to bring activity to life across channels.

2. Community Management

Build genuine connections with our audience, making every interaction feel helpful, human and true to The INKEY List.

  • Own day-to-day community management across our organic social channels.
  • Engage with our audience, responding to comments and conversations in a helpful, authentic and approachable way.
  • Proactively join relevant conversations, identifying opportunities to connect beyond incoming comments.
  • Escalate customer care, product or reputational issues to the appropriate teams.
  • Build relationships with engaged followers, recognising and nurturing recurring community members.
  • Identify great customer content, surfacing user-generated content, reviews and customer stories for wider use.
  • Monitor community conversations and behaviour, identifying recurring questions, feedback, concerns and emerging trends.
  • Share regular community insights with the Social Media Manager and wider teams.
  • Spot opportunities for future content, using audience conversations and feedback to inspire new ideas.
  • Support social reporting, gathering relevant platform and community performance data.

Stay close to what our community is saying and turn conversations into useful insights and opportunities.

4. Campaign & Team Support

Work together across teams to create connected social experiences and bring key brand moments to life.

  • Support social activations, competitions, launches and key retail moments across our channels.
  • Collaborate with Community, askINKEY and Brand teams, ensuring customer conversations and insights are shared across the business.
  • Support content capture days and social events where needed.

What we're looking for

We're interested in the person as much as the experience.

You’ll likely have:

  • Experience managing social media channels, ideally within a consumer-facing brand.
  • A strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Reddit, including how audiences engage and interact across different platforms.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with a natural instinct for engaging in online conversations and adapting to a brand's tone of voice.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, with experience managing content calendars and multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring content is accurate, consistent and published to a high standard.
  • Confidence managing high volumes of community interaction, responding thoughtfully and knowing when to escape issues.
  • A genuine curiosity about social media culture, with the ability to spot emerging trends, conversations and content opportunities.
  • Experience using social publishing and reporting tools, with confidence learning new platforms and systems.
  • A collaborative, proactive and calm approach, comfortable working at pace and supporting others to get things done.

You don't need to tick every box. If you're excited about the role and think you could be a great fit, we'd encourage you to apply.

What success looks like

Success in this role means keeping our social channels running smoothly, building an engaged community and making sure the conversations happening across our platforms help shape what we do next.

  • Consistent, accurate publishing – Content goes live on time, with strong attention to detail and well-managed channel calendars.
  • An engaged and responsive community – The INKEY List feels approachable, human and actively connected to its audience.
