Reports to: Head of Global People
The HR Advisor – Talent, Onboarding & People Operations is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of recruitment, onboarding and people operations across the UK and US. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, partnering closely with managers to ensure roles are filled effectively and employees have a smooth, compliant experience from offer through early tenure. This role is about ownership and execution, not hierarchy.
Key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end recruitment processes across UK and US roles
- Partner with hiring managers on role scoping, timelines and hiring decisions
- Manage recruitment campaigns, interviews and offers
- Support workforce planning and hiring prioritisation
- Own global onboarding processes and induction
- Ensure new starters are set up compliantly and confidently
- Support probation processes and early-tenure check-ins
- Work closely with the People Coordinator to ensure seamless delivery
- Support monthly payroll administration by ensuring starter/leaver changes, salary updates and data changes are accurate and submitted on time
- Support Learning & Development administration, including training coordination, tracking and supporting development initiatives
- Assist with employee wellbeing, culture and engagement plans, supporting delivery of key initiatives
- Help organise and coordinate team days and internal events, including logistics, comms and scheduling
- Handle day-to-day people queries and requests
- Apply UK and US people processes accurately and consistently
- Build strong, trusted relationships with managers across the business
- Escalate judgement-heavy or higher-risk matters appropriately
- Act as secondary support on ER cases when required
- Contribute to continuous improvement of People processes
Skills & experience
- 3–6 years’ experience in an HR / People Advisor role
- Strong recruitment and onboarding experience
- Highly organised, proactive and delivery-focused
- Comfortable working autonomously with clear escalation
