We are looking for a talented Food and Drinks video producer. Are you obsessed with food and drink and passionate about creating high-quality, long-form video content that keeps audiences watching? Are you a YouTube-native creator who understands how to turn great food storytelling into long-form videos people actually finish, and come back for more? This role will play a key part in growing Tasty UK’s YouTube presence, while also creating compelling, shareable content for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. You’ll help us connect with food lovers through engaging formats that entertain, inform, and inspire.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Own the end-to-end creation of Food & Drinks long-form YouTube videos, from concept and scripting through to filming, editing, publishing, and optimisation.
- Develop and evolve series-led formats designed to maximise retention, repeat viewing, and subscriber loyalty.
- Create YouTube-first food storytelling with strong hooks, pacing, and narrative structure.
- Lead on YouTube best practices, including titles, thumbnails, intros, mid-roll pacing, and end-screen strategies.
- Use performance data (audience retention, watch time, CTR, subscriber conversion) to iterate and improve content week on week.
- Test and refine formats that balance editorial quality with RPM-friendly content and brand suitability.
- Collaborate with the commercial team on long-form branded integrations that feel native, engaging, and performance-led.
- A digital-native mindset, with a strong understanding of YouTube best practices alongside TikTok and Instagram trends.
- Research, recipe-test, film, and edit content that celebrates food culture and storytelling.
Essential skills and experience:
- Experience creating successful long-form YouTube content, ideally within food, lifestyle, or entertainment.
- A creator mindset combined with strong producer/editor skills.
- Comfortable both in front of and behind the camera.
- Deep understanding of YouTube analytics, including audience retention, average view duration, CTR, subscriber growth, and RPM.
- Proven ability to build repeatable, scalable series rather than one-off videos.
- Strong video production and post-production skills, including filming, lighting, sound, and editing.
- Experience with Premiere Pro, Final Cut, and DSLR cameras (preferred).
- Confidence in producing high-quality content from home or in a studio environment.
- An instinct for what makes food content visually irresistible and emotionally engaging.
- Excellent organisation and workflow management skills, enabling consistent publishing schedules.
- Experience working with branded content or commercial partners in long-form video (preferred).
Success in This Role Looks Like:
- Increased watch time and average view duration across the channel.
- Consistent subscriber growth driven by strong series and returning audiences.
- Improved audience retention curves, particularly in the first 30–60 seconds.
- Development of RPM-friendly, brand-safe formats that support long-term revenue growth.
- Repeatable content franchises that define Tasty UK’s YouTube identity.
