Kings High School is seeking to appoint a 0.5 FTE Temporary Teacher of Biology from September 2026 to July 2027. The primary duties of this role are to teach Biology at KS3 and KS4, and some Y7 (KS3) Science. This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative practitioner to develop their skills and experience in a highly successful department. It is a particularly exciting time to be joining the school as we enjoy our superb new facilities at the Myton Road site.
The Temporary Teacher of Biology will also work closely with senior staff in the other Foundation Schools to ensure coordination and consistency and that pupils at Kings High School benefit from the best of both worlds. The Temporary Teacher of Biology will report directly to the Head of Biology.
The key areas of responsibility and duties which attach to the position are set out below although the list is not exhaustive, and the Temporary Teacher of Biology may be expected to assume additional responsibilities as reasonably requested by the Head.
