This role requires the Registered Nurse to provide high quality service that is underpinned by the NMC standards, to pupils and in certain circumstances to staff and visitors of the school. Working within the Health Centre, the role holder will report to the Lead Nurse. To be considered for the opportunity, you must have a valid NMC registration PIN or HCPC registration with the relevant nursing degree or paramedic qualification.
About the Health Centre
The Health Centre sits at the heart of the School’s commitment to pupil wellbeing, offering medical care and health services to both boarding and day pupils, as well as a limited service to staff and visiting pupils.
- GP surgeries for boarders three days a week
- A team of Registered Nurses on duty
- First point of contact for medical issues beyond routine over-the-counter remedies provided in Houses
- Nurse-led clinics, sports day emergency care and triage
- Routine and travel vaccinations
- Advice and guidance on health related matters
- Access to externally provided physiotherapy services
Hours, Working Weeks, and Salary
Hours: Working 34 hours per week, the standard hours of work for this role are 8am-8pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am-3pm on Sundays, plus overnights on standby, on a rota basis.
Working weeks: This role is to work term time only, which is 33 weeks per annum, paid for 37.47 weeks, to include entitlement to holiday pay.
Salary: £24,129 actual (£39,386 FTE), plus £20.00 for each cover period that you are on Standby.
