The library sits at the heart of the Senior School and plays a vital role in supporting teaching and learning, fostering information literacy, and nurturing a love of reading among pupils aged 11–18. This is a varied and rewarding role, leading and managing the Senior School Library and working closely with teaching staff, senior leaders and pupils. You will oversee library resources and facilities, deliver library and research skills teaching, support independent study, and promote reading for pleasure across the school.

Previous experience of working in a library within an educational setting is essential. Experience of line management, information literacy instruction and library systems would be an advantage.

Hours
Full-time, five days per week.
8.00am–5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am–4.00pm on Fridays (30-minute lunch break). This is not a term-time-only role and will require attendance during some school holidays to support library management tasks. There may be limited flexibility to slightly reduce hours, subject to discussion at interview.

Competitive salary £39,000–£41,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.
