We are seeking a caring, professional and highly organised Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a Year 7 student with speech, language and communication needs, while also contributing to the wider work of the Learning Support Department. The role involves supporting this student’s academic, social and personal development in line with their EHCP, providing additional support to other students with SEND as required, and assisting with the administrative and organisational tasks that help the department run effectively.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting the progress of our students, while also contributing to the wider work of the Learning Support Department. Main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing tailored support for this student in lessons
  • Assisting with their individual learning and organisational needs
  • Offering additional support to other students with SEND when required
  • Undertaking administrative tasks within the department to help ensure the smooth running of Learning Support

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar position, strong literacy and numeracy skills suited to a secondary school environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a busy departmental team.

Hours of work: 40 hours per week. Support is required from 8.30am – 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
