The predicted salary is between 16.75 - 16.75 Β£ per hour.

Contract – Contractor, Β£15.50 - Β£16.75 per hour, plus holiday pay

Start Date – July 2025

Location – Letchworth, SG6 3PJ

About the Role

As Camp Manager at St Francis College, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the smooth day to day running of our Holiday Camp. With work available during every school holiday, this role offers an excellent opportunity to shape and grow the Holiday Camp provision at St Francis College.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily camp operations to ensure everything runs safely and efficiently
  • Leading and supporting staff, providing guidance, feedback and encouragement
  • Delivering engaging activities for children aged 4–13
  • Maintaining a positive, organised environment for children and staff
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues
  • Ensuring high standards of behaviour, safety and professionalism across the camp

Qualifications

  • Calm, organised and detail oriented approach to managing a busy camp environment
  • Experience working in a childcare setting
  • Confidence managing small teams and supporting staff development
  • Strong communication skills, especially when interacting with parents and staff
  • Ability to lead by example and maintain high standards
  • Energy, enthusiasm and a passion for creating a safe, fun and engaging environment for children

All training will be provided to ensure your readiness for this role. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, as all new staff will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance, identity checks, qualification checks and employment checks to include an exploration of any gaps within employment, two satisfactory references and registration with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
