Responsibilities

  • Support the Technical Production Manager in delivering technical aspects of all Drama, Dance and Music productions
  • Liaise with directors to understand production requirements
  • Assist with design planning and rigging of technical equipment
  • Programme technical effects in advance of performances
  • Support the operation of technical systems during performances
  • Assist with de‑rigging following productions
  • Assist in the construction of sets for internal productions, as required
  • Support the Theatre Manager and Technical Production Manager with routine maintenance of theatre spaces and equipment
  • Support the Director of Co‑Curricular Drama with departmental requirements, including the management of props and costumes
  • Assist in Drama lessons to support the teaching of technical theatre

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a theatre environment, including programming and operating shows
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn quickly
  • Proficient in IT, lighting desks and sound consoles
  • Knowledge of filming and video editing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail
  • Flexible, well organised and able to work under pressure
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and able to anticipate needs
