This important role contributes to providing a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors, supporting the smooth day‑to‑day operation of our world‑class boarding school.

Reports to: Domestic Services Manager and Domestic Team Leader.

Contract: This is a part‑time, permanent contract. The first three months will be a probationary period.

Hours of Work: 30 hours per week, 8.00am – 2.00pm Monday to Friday, worked over 52 weeks per year (including a 15‑minute paid tea break each day).

Holiday: 30 days per annum, plus bank holidays.

Salary: £20,050.20 per annum (£25,019 per annum FTE).

As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within your designated area. Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning and preparing facilities
  • Maintaining washrooms and communal areas
  • Removing waste
  • Cleaning windows
  • Undertaking deep cleaning activities during holiday periods
  • Supporting the wider Domestic Services team to ensure the School environment remains well presented throughout the year
