Communication with pupils and parents is an important part of the Assistant Examinations Officer role as pupils depend on the Examinations Office to ensure they are fully briefed in preparation for exams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the invigilation team;
  • Processing Post Results Services requests for candidates;
  • Liaising with the SENCo to ensure arrangements for candidates with special educational needs are in place;
  • Keeping the Management Information System up to date;
  • Assisting in the preparation of results day paperwork for both A Level and GCSE examinations.

Please note: This position is offered at 0.7FTE, working an average of 24 hours per week over the year. The majority of this will be worked during term time and the post holder must have the flexibility required to cover busier periods. Attendance for key examination dates is required.

The Royal Grammar School has a responsibility for and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The person appointed to this post will be required to apply for an enhanced Disclosure Certificate from the DBS.
