Leicester Grammar School and Leicester Grammar Junior School share a school site located near Great Glen. There are extensive grounds, including a dual-use Sports Centre, which means that the school pupils use the facilities during school hours and the wider community can use the facilities in the evenings, weekends and school holidays. There is a third school within Leicester Grammar School Trust, LGS Stoneygate, located within one mile on the other side of Great Glen.
We are looking for a Weekend Security Officer to join our well-supported and effective Site Services team. This role will involve lone-working at the Leicester Grammar School campus on Saturdays and Sundays. Previous experience working in a school setting would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Working Hours
The post-holder will work 18 hours per week, with the usual pattern of work being:
- 8:00am to 6:00pm - Saturday, which includes a 30-minute unpaid meal break.
- 8:00am to 5:00pm - Sunday, which includes a 30-minute unpaid meal break.
Salary and Benefits
This is a permanent role, working all year round. The salary for this role as described will be up to £11,897 per annum. You will receive 10 days of annual leave, with additional non-contractual days off between Christmas and New Year. If eligible, you may also participate in a Standard Life Pension with employer contributions equivalent to 6% of salary in return for contributions by the employee equivalent to 3% of salary. Fee remission for the children of our staff is available at all schools across the Trust.
