We wish to appoint a part-time Teacher of English from September 2026 for one year (1 September 2026 – 9 July 2027). This is an opportunity to work in a highly regarded and successful girls’ independent school with motivated pupils and a very supportive ethos. This part-time post (approximately 0.5) has arisen from the internal promotion of one of the existing members of the department and is suitable for an experienced teacher with a proven track record of teaching English, or a returner to the profession.

Although focused primarily on KS3, the opportunity to teach at GCSE and/or A level may be available for the right applicant. The successful candidate should be prepared to play a full role in the life of the School and be able to offer a contribution to the co-curricular programme.

Salary according to qualifications and experience on Farnborough Hill’s own generous pay scale. Farnborough Hill is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to undergo the appropriate DBS Code of Practice check.
