We are seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our team as a Senior Chef de Partie. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes. With a genuine passion for food, you will bring excellent organisational skills and a calm, focused approach to working under pressure. As a strong team player and natural leader, you will set an example for others and strive to uphold the highest standards in every aspect of your work.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Head Chef in daily operations.
- Ensuring food safety compliance.
- Maintaining exceptional service standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- All duties associated with the preparation and cooking of school meals, under the direction of the school’s Head Chef.
- Ensuring hygiene and safety standards and regulations are always maintained in areas of work and adhering to school policies and procedures.
- Working as an effective and committed member of the school catering team, and generally supporting and contributing to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school.

Remuneration and Hours
- 40 hours per week all year.
- Early shift 7am - 3pm, late shift 11am – 7pm, alternate weekends with a day off during the week.
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Salary: £31,948.00 per annum
Terms and Conditions
- Enrolment in the statutory auto-enrolment pension scheme.
- Annual Leave: 33 days' paid holiday per annum, including Bank and Public holidays (3 days of which must be taken during a whole school shutdown at Christmas).
- Members of staff may educate their own children in any of the three parts of the school or at Fairstead House, subject to availability of places and successful admissions procedures.
- The School offers a private healthcare insurance scheme, which staff may opt to join, at their expense, shortly after the start of each academic year.
- School lunch provided when at work over lunch time and tea and coffee throughout the day.
- Limited use of school gym facilities and use of the school swimming pool at specific times.
