Job Description:

  • Issuing and returning the library’s stock
  • Shelving stock and keeping the library in good order
  • Processing of new stock and ongoing monitoring of existing stock (i.e. Weeding stock/checking for overdue books that have been put directly back on shelves)
  • Help library users find material to meet their needs
  • Help library users to become proficient in using online resources
  • Assisting the Librarian in the support of class groups using the library
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with students to encourage effective use of the library, create a vibrant learning environment, and ensure pupil behaviour is consistent with school values

Remuneration and Hours:

  • Wednesdays only 8.30am - 5.30pm with 30 minutes unpaid break
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Salary: £5,242.80

Terms and Conditions:

  • Enrolment in the statutory auto-enrolment pension scheme.
  • Members of staff may educate their own children in any of the three parts of the school or at Fairstead House, subject to availability of places and successful admissions procedures.

  • Limited use of school gym facilities and use of the school swimming pool at specific times.
