Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a HR Administrator to join the HR team on a permanent basis (subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks). The role is available immediately, full time, working 36.25 hours per week with a salary of £25,990. If you thrive in a fast‑paced busy environment, have excellent stakeholder management skills and have a flair for process improvement, this opportunity could be for you.

The purpose of the role is to manage the full recruitment lifecycle while ensuring a positive candidate experience. It involves supporting recruiting managers with various recruitment tasks, including:

  • Candidate screening
  • Interview scheduling
  • Handling pre‑employment checks
  • Maintaining compliance with employment laws
  • Managing the shared mailboxes and HR records

Additionally, the role supports probation reviews and absence management to support a smooth employee journey. The successful candidate must have experience in an HR or administrative role, with knowledge of employment legislation being desirable. Experience using iTrent as a system and payroll experience would be a high advantage although not essential. Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills are essential, along with the ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team. A commitment to high professional standards and continuous professional development is key.

Eligibility: ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
