Sir William Perkins’s School is seeking a proactive and analytical MIS and Data Systems Lead to oversee the School’s Management Information Systems and data services. Reporting to the Assistant Head of Digital Strategy and Projects, the successful candidate will lead the effective management, development, and continuous improvement of the School’s data systems, ensuring information is accurate, secure, and used effectively to support both operational and strategic decision-making.

This is a key role within the School, combining day‑to‑day responsibility for the MIS with a broader focus on improving processes, enhancing efficiency, and maximising the value of the School’s digital systems. The postholder will oversee core functions including:

  • Data management
  • Reporting
  • Timetable imports
  • Parents’ evening bookings
  • Statutory returns
  • User support

While identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve the user experience for staff, students, and parents. An early priority will be leading the successful migration to a new MIS platform, managing the project from data preparation and system configuration through to implementation, training, and ongoing optimisation.

The successful candidate will have experience managing complex information systems and delivering software implementation projects. They will possess strong analytical skills, advanced Excel expertise, and a thorough understanding of GDPR and school compliance requirements. Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or similar reporting tools would be advantageous.

This role requires a collaborative, adaptable, and solution-focused individual who can balance operational excellence with a commitment to the School’s ongoing digital development.
