Radley College is seeking a proactive and hands-on Caretaker Supervisor to support the day-to-day delivery of housekeeping and site services across our busy, seven-day operation. Working closely with the Housekeeping Manager, you will supervise a team of caretakers, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance are consistently achieved.

You will be responsible for supporting and developing staff, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements. The role also involves coordinating maintenance requests, supporting College events, and working collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

In this role, you will oversee and support the caretaking team, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and in line with agreed schedules. You will monitor performance, provide guidance and training, and support the induction of new staff. You will also ensure that all health and safety, fire, and security procedures are followed at all times, maintaining a safe environment for staff and pupils.

You will play an important part in supporting College events, external lettings, and operational needs, as well as logging maintenance requests and tracking any outstanding work. The role requires strong communication, working closely with colleagues across departments, resolving day-to-day issues, and escalating where necessary.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a caretaking, housekeeping, or facilities environment, along with previous supervisory experience. You will be organised, practical, and flexible, with strong communication skills and a hands-on approach. Some evening and weekend working will be required.
