£23,000 to £25,000 per annum for 30 hours per week, 34 weeks per year (inclusive of holiday pay).

Role Overview

The King’s School, Canterbury is seeking a British Fencing registered Epee Coach (Level 2 or above) to join the coaching team full-time from September 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Head of Fencing.
  • Experience coaching within a school environment.
  • Support the delivery and development of the Fencing Programme at all levels of fencing at the King’s School and Junior King's School.
  • Coaching beginners and experienced youth fencers in Epee.
  • Organising training programmes.
  • Ensuring safety protocol.
  • Handling armoury duties.
  • Attending internal and external competitions, including weekends or overnight stays.

Qualifications and Experience

  • British Fencing registered Epee Coach, Level 2 or above.
  • Proven experience coaching beginners and experienced youth fencers in Epee.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and punctuality skills.
  • Ability to work as part of an ambitious team.
  • Experience of armoury work and refereeing is advantageous.
