Location: On site, Westbury-on-Trym BS9 3BA
Hours: The role is full-time (40 hours per week) during term time. Working hours are 08.00 to 16.30 Monday to Friday (less half an hour for lunch).
We are currently looking for a Science Technician to support effective and efficient teaching and learning in the Science department.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide equipment and materials to support practical teaching lessons
- Deliver equipment to classrooms, collect, check and wash up as necessary
- Operate and maintain stock control of equipment, undertake annual stock-take and ensure records are up to date
- Update and maintain electronic inventory for equipment and chemicals
- Prepare teacher demonstrations and assist in practical classes as required
Qualifications
- Good up to date awareness of approved safe working practices in laboratories
- Good practical and organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Competent in the use of IT
