Overview
Location: On site, Westbury-on-Trym BS9 3BA
Hours: This is an all-year round appointment based on a 40-hour working week Monday to Friday with an hour unpaid lunch break. The Estates Department is open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 7:00 am to 9:00 pm on Friday; a shift system is in place to cover these hours. Weekend work will be required in addition to the weekday hours on a rota basis and days off will be given during the week for weekend working.
We are looking for a skilled and flexible Estates Technician to join our hard working Estates team.

Responsibilities:
- In-house buildings maintenance including painting and decorating, carpentry and general maintenance
- Routine swimming pool water quality monitoring and recording (training will be provided if required)
- Legal compliance monitoring and recording such as legionella, fire safe systems, asbestos and emergency lighting
- Occasional inspection of all school transport, which could include the cleaning of vehicles and ad hoc driving duties
- When required liaise with external contractors whilst they are on site
Qualifications:
- Strong general DIY skills
- Good communication skills
- Full driving licence
- The ability to work cohesively as part of a team and independently
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Ideally, you will also have carpentry skills and experience of working with young people
