Brentwood Prep School is an academically selective HMC co‑educational independent school with small class sizes and a happy, ambitious and supportive staff team. It is part of Brentwood School, a 3‑18 HMC school of around 1900 pupils, just 35 minutes from London Liverpool Street. We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented recent conservatoire or university graduate to join our thriving Prep Music Department.

This full‑time, one‑year term‑time role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Director of Music and wider Music team, assisting with rehearsals, performances, concert preparation, music trips and the day‑to‑day musical life of the Prep School. Candidates will also contribute to ensemble coaching, 1:1 support and wider departmental activities across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, and will spend part of the role working alongside the Senior School Music Department.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with rehearsals, performances, concert preparation and music trips.
  • Support ensemble coaching and 1:1 support for students.
  • Contribute to wider departmental activities across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Work alongside the Senior School Music Department on selected projects.
  • Support day‑to‑day musical life of the Prep School.

  • Recent graduate from a conservatoire or university with a music background.
  • A passion for inspiring young musicians and developing professional skills is essential.
