Overview

The department has excellent facilities, including the Michael Frayn Theatre, green room, dressing rooms and a black box studio with full lighting and sound capability. The primary purpose of the post is to assist the Technical Theatre Manager with school productions and examination performances. The Assistant Technical Theatre Manager is a key member of the Performing Arts team, supporting the delivery of all technical aspects of productions, lessons and events.

Responsibilities

  • The role involves assisting with the day-to-day operation of theatre spaces, maintaining equipment and supporting staff and students to maximise the effectiveness of teaching and performances.
  • The Assistant Technical Theatre Manager will take the lead on a large part of the departmental administration, so excellent IT skills and strong interpersonal skills are a key part of this role.

Contract and Work Hours

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, all year round. Some of these hours will be required to work during the evenings and weekends as agreed with the Technical Theatre Manager.

Benefits

Support staff are entitled to 25 days annual leave, the majority to be taken during the school holidays, plus bank holidays.
